Learning and Teaching Consultant - Interprofessional education

Frances is currently Head of Interprofessional Education in the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing at Sheffield Hallam University and was awarded a personal chair in 2007 in recognition of her reputation in the field of interprofessional education in health and social care.

Frances is a nurse by professional background. She worked in nurse education for a large part of her career, but has worked mainly in the interprofessional context since 2002. She was Lead of the UK Department of Health funded Combined Universities Interprofessional Learning Unit (CUILU) which was one of four national leading edge sites for interprofessional learning: a partnership project between Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield between 2002 and 2005. From 2005 to 2010 she has been Co-Director of the Centre for Interprofessional eLearning (CIPeL), a collaborative initiative with Coventry University that focused on the contribution of e-learning to breaking down barriers to large scale implementation in interprofessional education.
